Job, Career,Calling or Whatever...

On Monday morning I came across this

Most people approach their work in one of three ways: as a job, a career, or a calling.
  • If you see your work as a job, you do it only for the money, you look at the clock frequently while dreaming about the weekend ahead, and you probably pursue hobbies, which satisfy your effectance needs more thoroughly than does your work.
  • If you see your work as a career, you have larger goals of advancement, promotion, and prestige.
  • If you see your work as a calling, however, you find your work intrinsically fulfilling you are not doing it to achieve something else. You see your work as contributing to the greater good or as playing a role in some larger enterprise the worth of which seems obvious to you. You have frequent experiences of flow during the work day, and you neither look forward to “quitting time” nor feel the desire to shout, “Thank God it’s Friday!” You would continue to work, perhaps even without pay, if you suddenly became very wealthy.
Lately, I am feeling that I also belong to a tribe of millions who go to office, swipe their attendance card, open their email, answer new mails, wait for more emails, speak to a couple of customers, same issues and no resolution in sight, a couple of coffee breaks followed by lunch, a couple of more email exchanges, a couple of more coffee breaks with some extended gossip sessions and then clock tells me, it is time to leave. Card swipe and I head back towards home, doing things which help me rejuvenate so that I am prepared to go through the same monotonous grinding cycle next day.

If the number of emails received is less, then I feel neglected. More the number of meetings I attend, more I feel burdened with work. I feel like I am a replaceable cog which can be replaced on the whims and fancies of someone sitting above me. Okay, maybe I am wrong about firing part, but the mere thought of being a cog is giving me enough heartache.

The only consolation is that I am not alone. Last week I got an opportunity to travel in Metro during office hours. Every face was communicating the same signs of monotonous cubicle life. If one does not consider the features, and tries to differentiate people on the basis of expressions on faces, he will fail miserably.

I am trying to break this cycle by pursuing various things - reading, running, blogging, doodling etc. But getting up every morning and going to office is one thing which I do not want to do. It is a big energy sapping moment. It drains me out emotionally more than physically.

People suggest changing job might help. I am not sure. For sometime it will be a motivation to get up and go to office but sooner or later I will be caught in the boring spiral of cubicle life.

But problem is I do not even know where my calling lies., what will satisfy my heart and mind both. I do not have any passion for which I will leave my cubicle comfort and take a plunge. There are  a couple of business ideas I have been sleeping for sometime but so far they have remained ideas and nothing more. Not acting is my failure. Maybe this cubicle comfort is too cozy to leave and I am letting my life pass by.

Maybe someday, it will happen. Till then, I will try to cope up with cubicle comfort and try finding my calling or giving up everything to start something.

NOIDA Half Marathon

Smiles followed the run...

Yesterday ran a half-marathon in NOIDA. It was cool Valentines Day morning and I decided to take care of my heart by running 21 KMs with running and living. As I ran towards a healthier heart, I also made some new friends.

It is always fun to do things which you love, which energies you and which drives you. In fact , it is always worthwhile doing things which matters to you. Valentines Day or no Valentines Day, I love to run.

Chandigarh Marathon - Chaos killed my whole running experience

Yesterday, I ran my second full marathon in Chandigarh. It was absolutely fun while I was running.

First things first...Weather was perfect for running. It was little cold in the beginning and more pleasant once I crossed 10 KM mark. Track was flat, air was clean as we were running around one of the most beautiful areas of Chandigarh.

I was impressed by my improved timing.

I was slow for first 21 KM but picked up my self in later half. For last fifteen kilometers there was an ongoing battle between body and mind. I am glad that it was mind which won in the end. I was able to finish my run under 5 hours and 30 minutes, which is an huge improvement (according to me) from my last timing of 6 hours and 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, my battle did not end at the finish line. In fact, I realized that real battle has just began. After I reached finish line, I found out that they have removed time-recording chips and there is no way to know my time. When I asked for some guidance, one volunteer came with a piece of newspaper and started writing my time on that. A newspaper which would soon find a place in dustbin or road (considering this is India), was used to record my 'hard earned' time. It was disheartening and showed the extent of nonprofessional. It also revealed kind of inexperience for handling such events where efforts of every runner (long distance and short distance runner, fast and slow, young and old) is special to himself and needs a much better way to record those efforts.

Then I decided to speak to one organizer, who turned out to be some 'sarkari' guy. His attitude can be summed up as if-you-have-bouquets-you-are-welcome-but-incase-you-have-brick bats-get-lost. He plainly said "if you are going to complete so late, we are not responsible for your time". He was happy to brag (that too while shouting) about his presence in the event as if without his presence nobody would have cared to run and the whole show would have crashed. Organizers should have announced in the beginning that any runner finishing after 4/5 hours is on his own and things would have been simple as I would have no grounds to complain. But these sarkari people want participation also and then do not want to take care of participants.

Though couple of other volunteers did come to help me out from this fiasco. But I have little hope of this getting resolve now as Indians truly believe in raat gayi baat gayi.

Anyways, I learnt something important. Next time either I will run in a marathon where there is some respect for slow runners or I improve myself enough to run marathon at fast pace. And while living in India, I am bound to encounter sarkari chamachas and bureaucrats who will make me feel like shit after my all efforts, so I have to learn running marathons at fast pace. And also quitting is not an option especially because of useless fucktards called as sarkari afsars.

Another typical sarkari thing, refreshments were in aplenty for all sarkari naukers and their families, other chamchas but not for runners. I know atleast four runners who were clueless about getting refreshments. Couple of did request some sarkari chamcha for the same and I am not sure what happened to their requests. Did not have any patience and strength left to face these fucktards.

But in the end, I was glad that I improved my timing and intend to do better in future irrespective of the fact whether I have any record to prove that or not.

Note to myself - no more running for certificates. It is only for myself.

Bad presentations are in abundance...

My presentation skills are not very good. And I work hard to improve them. I read a lot about them, try to deliver as many presentations as possible. In my search of excellence in giving keynotes or presentations, I have become a student of this subject. I also try to disect, review, critique the presentations which I get to hear occasionally.

Till now only a couple of times I have come across a presentation, which was jaw-dropping. Some of the others were decent. Some presentations were a passe. Most of them were pathetic.

I try to gauge presentations on the kind of slides the presenter is using, engagement levels (with audience) of the presenter, and communication skills.

Yesterday, I was in a CRM workshop and most of the presenters were bad. Slides were full of bullet points. Presenters were reading from slides and ignoring audience. Eye contact, engagement with audience was missing. In a nutshell, presentations were horrible and it was apparent that presenters had spent time only on putting text on slides and not on how to deliver that text.

As I was killed by boredom during the presentation, I started surfing internet. While surfing, I came across this article. Apparently presenters in front of me were not ill prepared to deliver presentation, organizations like Google also falter when it comes to presentation.

I absolutely agree with the article that the product presentations by Steve Jobs are amazing, entertaining and you will be awed by his showmanship.

Happy New Decade

Spent last ten days in my village farm and in my home town separated by 50 kilometers. It was a very different new year for a city boy. After a long time, there were no parties to welcome new year. It was a quiet night spent in quilts sleeping. I realized only in the morning that dawn of new decade is upon me.

Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed a life away from hustle and bustle. Apart from exploring various aspects of village life, I did what I am good at - looking for running tracks and exploring standard of customer service.

There are few things which left me in awe most of the time while staying with my extended family in village.

Relationship building - People working in farms do not know me but they were always ready to help me with anything. Ready to give things smilingly. Ready to go to any lengths to make me feel at home. I was demanding at times but nothing was big enough to make them frown. Everyone knew everyone. Everyone knew my grandfather and people preferred to address me as his grandson and not by my name. I think all MBA students should spend one semester in village so that they can learn some basics in relationship building which holds a prominent place in any business.

Resilience - Apart from doing physical hard-work, they are extremely resilient. Once my professor told me that an Indian farmer is probably the biggest risk taker in the world. He invests everything he has in his farming when he knows that the end result depends on a lot of other factors like monsoon, some crop disease etc which are beyond his control. But his spirits are never down. He is resilient enough to rise above all obstacles and still able to keep a smiling face.

Simplicity - Everything they use, everything they do, every transaction they make has only one thing common - simplicity. If it is simple to use and fits into their need, it will be adopted without any effort. From ploughing fields to kitchen, from kids to oldies, simplicity is one common thread which binds them.

These points I just thought of and this is definitely not the comprehensive list. I am glad that I
started my decade in this kind of ecosystem. As this new decade has come, I hope to inculcate few things in my life style as well.

BTW I did not miss any new year booze parties at all. Happy New Decade.

PS - Above picture has a banyana tree under which my Grandmother and father played when they were kids.

My watch died (almost)...

My grandfather bought HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) watch in 1965.  HMT is a Government organization and at one time they were synonymous with watches in India. Before the entry of corporate houses like TATA in watch industry with brands like Titan and before the onslaught of foreign watch brands like Swatch, Rado, Pierre Cardin etc, HMT watches ruled the Indian market. And they made watches on whose quality people used to swear upon. My grandfather's 50 year old and hand-winding watch is still functional. It may be outdated in terms of fashion but it does best what it is suppose to do i.e. announce time.

Cut to present. Zoobie gifted a Swatch watch two years ago. I was happy to get it. Why? Because
  • Swatch is considered to be an affordable premium brand.
  • Watch was beautiful.
  • It worked well.
  • Onlookers admired it.

I loved my watch...

But as soon its warranty got over, it conked. I thought it to be a battery problem. I went to the shop from where I bought it. They checked it and told me it is not battery problem. It is something else and to find out more on the problem, I have to visit Swatch's service center. Though, I have yet to get it checked in service centre but the person (who checked my watch) sounded as it is all over for my watch. He was almost sure that it is beyond repair though he did not announce that in so many words.

Oh, God! What is this irony. A Sarkari Indian company makes watches which work well over 50 years. A company is run by babus for so long and yet able to deliver a quality product. On the other hand, we have world a class brand which swears by its quality but their watches lose steam in just over two years.

I know mine can be a one-off case and I am yet to get the final verdict from the service center. But the fact is, I  am feeling little let down by this WORLD CLASS brand called Swatch. Hence, this post.

I Will miss you...

Dream come true and interesting conversations over weekend

Weekend was fruitful. It was busy, little hectic but full of meaningful conversations. Listened to one of India's most revered speaker, met some interesting people, got insights from some entrepreneurs and made some new friends.

On Saturday, I got a chance to listen to Former President of India, Dr APJ Kalam. To me, He is an intelligent man who accomplished many great things without compromising on integrity and values (Dr Manmohan Singh is another such rare Indian). I always dreamt of listening to his speech and having some cool conversations with him. First half of the dream is fulfilled.

As usual speech was inspiring. It was full of stories and conversations which Dr Kalam had with great visionaries and personalities during his lifetime. From his speech it was evident that he has a great vision for our country. He passionately shares that vision with everyone, especially students.

He ended his speech with a question which every Indian should ask from himself. How I wish to be remembered (in terms of one's contribution to growth of country)? I think this is a question which one should keep asking himself because if answers, followed by actions, are missing to this question than there is problem. Thanks Alma Mater for this opportunity.

On Sunday, I had an opportunity of meeting some entrepreneurs. Couple of them have already made it big, some are small but doing good for themselves, some who has just jumped on this bandwagon and lot of aspiring entrepreneurs like me. Discussions were related to practical aspects of launching and doing 'the own thing'. There were no fairy tale stories or inspiring stuff from them but focus was on difficulties one face while trodding this less travelled road. Lot of insights, sharing, conversations and guidance.

An interesting point resonated by almost everyone, try to keep your customers happy and satisfied while your business is gaining momentum. Hey, opportunities for people like me. Cool!

All in all, weekend which I will remember for some time to come.

Airtel Delhi Half-Marathon

On Sunday, I ran my third half-marathon of the year and was fully satisfied with my timing as well. It was fun and the whole environment was lively. I have always dreamt of running on road leading to India-Gate and te dream was fulfilled with this run.

However, I found the whole place extremely crowded. By the time I crossed starting line after crossing a sea of people, I was already behind by 5 minutes. My official photographer, Zoobie, got lost in crowd somewhere, hence not much photographs to share.

Another thing, as I was nearing finish line, it was very hot. Not an ideal environment for running.

Now I am waiting for the Gurgaon Marathon on December 6. I am sure it will not be crowded and weather will be cool enough to make this marathon a cooler one. Another thing, onus will be on runners and not on celebrities standing on the periphery.

If you happen to be in Gurgaon on December 6, do come to run, walk, cheer and have fun.

Moreover, you never know whom you may run into. You can find details about the run here.

Seriously! Blogging Pays

No, I have not receive any paycheck from Google.

But report here suggests that more and more bloggers are earning money from their blogs. Many are earning serious money. That too, considering a lot of them are part-timers or pursuing their hobby.

Good news is that money is not coming from advertisements or affiliate programs, as most of us perceive as the primary source of income for blogs. Money is coming from consulting, speaking assignments or conferences.

Well, I am also getting a little more serious about my blog, as blogging in India is still in its nascent stage and niche bloggers are even less. This means that there is an opportunity to do something different and make a mark for myself. After all, trying and failing is any day better than sitting on your ass and not trying.

As some of you may have noticed that I have moved my blog to custom domain. I think it is high time for me to get a custom domain as in coming months I will be promoting my blog heavily.

Secondly, I have made blog cards for my blog. I have shamelessly copied the idea of having blog cards from Hugh. Hugh is a cool guy and everyone who wants to learn marketing in this world of social media, should follow his blog.

Information on my blog card is very minimal. It only has my name, blog address and my email ID. No phone number. No address.

I want conversations to revolve around my blog, blogging as a medium and of course, customer service. It has this Aloo Kachalu at the back of the card.

I am sure it will be fun to take this to next level.

PS - In case you missed the beginning of Aloo Kachalu, check out here.

The Story behind Aloo Kachalu

It was the month of April in 2009. Economic downturn was at its peak (downturn and peak...what an irony). Increments were not in sight. Incentives were not given because of bad overall economic situation. In fact, holding onto a job was luxury for some.

I was sitting in a restaurant watching an IPL match and waiting for friends. With few pegs of alcohol inside me, I scribbled something on a piece of napkin. Soon, friends arrived, more alcohol went in and napkin got lost somewhere in the mayhem. But the idea remained with me.

I started to visualize certain characters. As I am not good at drawing/painting, I tried to do something simpler. Learnt little bit about cartoon drawing softwares, took sometime to learn about their basics etc. I cannot ignore the guidance given by Sid, a blogger friend. Sid a cartoonist himself, helped me in giving some raw knowledge on drawing cartoons. I also stumbled upon wonderful sites of two cartoonists - here and here.

The name 'Aloo Kachalu' stuck to me for a couple of reasons. I personally feel, Aloo which means potato is a highly non-bureaucratic vegetable. It can be cooked in any form - baked, boiled, roasted etc. It can be eaten in numerous forms - stuffed paranthas, in any curry, in rice, in snacks etc. Aloo can be put into anything and it makes a difference in every dish it goes into.

The other character, Kachalu (arbi/Colocasia Root), is also a vegetable and I feel this is highly bureaucratic. It usually leave a sticky layer or lace like thing, if not cooked carefully. Very difficult to cook. Means, highly bureaucratic. Cannot be easily modified according to customer's need. Both of them gelled very well with the overall philosophy of this blog.

And, yes they rhymed well.

Once everything was in place, I made a couple of Aloo Kachalus and showed to my friends. They found them cute.

I decided to go one step further. I started sending a weekly Aloo Kachalu to my team members. Couple of them came back to me saying 'they liked it and are looking forward to it'.

Then I started publishing it on my blog. Some of my blogger friends also said some wonderful things about it.

And I decided to stay with it and hone this new found passion more. As they say in Punjabi, panga le leya.

Just thought of sharing with you guys. As usual, keep giving me your feedback.

Blog Action Day - Initiatives by me

Initially I was not sure how I personally can make contribution to this topic. Then I decided to write about some of the steps which I will take in next year which may help me in playing my part in saving this environment.

  1. Switch off the engine of my car while waiting on lights
  2. Will make my house free of paper napkins
  3. When outside will use handkerchief more to clean my hands
  4. Will gift a tree
  5. Will plant a tree
  6. Will switch off lights/fans/appliance when not in use
  7. Will look for new ways to care about environment
  8. Will pray hard (last but not least)

I am not sure how much I will succeed in doing above things. One thing I am pretty sure of is that, after an year, while standing in front of mirror, I can look into my eyes and say comfortably 'I played my part'.

Blog Action Day - Businesses doing good for environment

This post is part of Blog Action Day and post is on environment. Though I am not any expert on this topic but I can feel the changes which are happening around me. Monsoons are erratic, floods occurring at some odd time of year, glaciers shrinking, overall temperature going up etc. Every individual has contributed to this mess. Every business has played part in making environment worse.

But then there are some which are trying to do few things which might improve things in the long run. There are two businesses whom I know personally, are doing things which are good for environment and trying make this world a better place to live.

First one is EYEC (website not fully functional) is a startup company founded by one of my college mate. This company is doing very simple thing - asking customers to gift a tree. Gift a tree for any occasion - anniversary, birthdays, festivals etc. In case there is no occasion, make it an occasion by gifting a tree. Initially, I was not sure about the viability of this idea but it is gradually picking up. In its journey of five months, this company is presently gifting close to 40 tree in a day. I think number is not bad for someone who trying to make this world a better place to live.

Second is RunningandLiving.com which inspires people to run. Again, a kind of first in India. They organize monthly runs in and around Delhi with Gurgaon runs being their flagship run. In last one year, this company has organized two runs in which runners get an opportunity to plant saplings enroute their 10 KM/15 KM running distance. Plants were sponsored and pits dug by State Government's Urban Development arm. Runners get to do some good by planting saplings in those pits. RunningandLiving.com was enabler in this whole process without which this might not have been possible.

I feel lucky that I am associated as customer with at least two businesses which intend to do some repair patch work on this bruised environment.

Blog Action Day - Environment

Blog Action Day (BAD) is trying to raise awareness about environment by asking bloggers across the world to join hands and write about environment on October 15. So far, nearly 7000 bloggers have registered from more than 130 countries. On same day, thousands of voices will be talking about one issue - environment. Incredible.

I think it would be good idea to read through thousands of opinions and voices on environment. We can get lot of ideas on making this better place to live. We may get to know about potential dangers we are facing because of deteriorating environment. Though,we all know bullet points, details will not harm us.

I am also participating in a hope that I will change some of my habits which may help in improving environment.

Shimla Half Marathon: Pictures and Experience

Me before the run

About to begin

Rahul, man behind the show

Shimla half marathon is over. It was fun running this race as this was one marathon which was free of three things which most runners do not like - heat, dust and pollution. Weather was also playing a perfect companion.

At 6KM...By mistake drinking someone else's energy drink

I usually start my runs at a slow pace as I do not want to spend all my energy on first few miles. This run was also no different. I started slowly and for the first 6 KM, I ran at a slow pace. Few downhill slopes in the begining, followed by uphill slopes helped me in warming up.

At 13 KM

The run between 6 KM and 15 KM was most enjoyable for me. I was warmed up, momentum was with me and I was running at a speed which was not tiring me. Scenery was breathtaking, road was completely free of any traffic, I could hear birds chirping, serenity was my only company and few downhill slopes, where I could run faster than my usual speed, helped me in getting my timing better. There was only one uphill slope and was steep enough to leave most runners panting. Except for that slope, it was a runner friendly terrain.

After 15 KM, major part of the track was uphill and it soaked up most of my energy. To be frank, I covered most of my last 6 KM walking. But walking, was also no small effort (shameless self-patter in me taking over). Last two kilometers were easy, difficult and most exciting. Easy because of steep downhill which helped me to run little faster. Difficult because I have to climb the same slope up. Exciting because it was last lap and after that only thing left was posing for cameras ;-)

At last finished Shimla HM in 2 hours and 50 minutes. I guess, not bad for someone who is just one HM old.

Zoobie and Me after the run

With medal and certificate

One gone. Another one in Delhi on November 1, followed by my first full marathon in Gurgaon on December 6. There is not much time for rest.

After all most of marathoners are a breed in their own and they enjoy doing what others think is a cynical activity.

Running Season Begins!

My running season is beginning from this Sunday. First of my three half/full marathons is on October 4 in Shimla.

I have prepared myself for this HM (Half Marathon) little bit harder than my last one. I have put in close to 20 hrs and ran close to 125 kilometers in last 40 days. Running includes runs on plain, runs on hilly area, fast runs, slow runs, long runs, easy runs etc. Training was fun (otherwise I would not have done it) and it came with an advantage also - weight control.

Organizers are promoting this HM as a pretty-tough marathon. Pretty because of beautiful locales and hills covered with pine trees. And, tough because running at 7200 meters above sea level requires some stamina, strength and will power.

As the D-Day is approaching, there are some butterflies in my stomach which, I guess, is normal. But I know I am well prepared to handle this difficult terrain.

Will post some interesting experiences from HM and Shimla.

Important things to do...

Below are things which I do daily in my office time.

Meetings: - Most of the time participants crib about quality of snacks. In the end, the only thing achieved is next meeting’s time.
Conference calls: - Lots of us put phone on mute and wonder why I am doing this.
Video conferences: - After effect of recession and another form of meeting but there is distance involved between the participants. If you are lucky, at the most, decision is made for next VC.
Important calls: - One to one calls made to lots of people and fixing time for meetings, VC and conference calls.
More conference calls: - As if something we forgot to achieve in our last con calls. However, end result remains the same.
Then there is email: - Probably the biggest sucker of time. When not in a mood to do anything, simplest excuses is ‘send me the email and I will think about it’ and you can be at peace after that.

Well, these are also my ways and means of wasting time in an organized fashion.

Do you have anything to add this?

Friends...

The other day I was having a conversation with my friend who was seeking some kind of information on cars. I told him proudly that one of my blogger friends is a car enthusiast and we can seek his opinion. “In this changing world, our categories of friends are increasing by every passing day. The life is becoming amazing.” He replied.

I was hit by the word ‘categories of friends’. I thought about these categories of friends and decided to jot down. As I started to think, my list of friend categories went up to 8.

My list is as below (not in any particular order):

Running friends – Friends whom I meet once in a month for a 10 KM run. All are amazing people but our conversation starts with a run and ends with run. We have exchanged our phone numbers, email IDs but most of the conversation revolves around preparation of next run.

Drinking buddies – We get together once in a week or once in two weeks and drink ‘away to glory’. We discuss everything under the sun. We try to remain in touch. Most of our drinking programs are made and finalized just a day before actual ‘event’.

Blogger friends – We share knowledge, help each other and stay regular in touch through blogs.

Other Social Network friends – Huge list of friends and connections on Facebook, Orkut and LinkedIn wherein my friend’s friend is also my friend. But it stays there only.

College friends – Some good college friends who care to stay in touch or with whom I wanted to stay in touch.

School friends – Same as above

Elevator friends – These are my friends whom I meet regularly or irregularly in elevator. We exchange Hellos and generally discuss jobs, life, weather and society. Meeting time is less – sometimes as less as 20 seconds but fruitful.

Office friends – Need not to write much. Most of the conversations revolve around office happenings only.

Family friends – These are friends which are passed on to me by my parents. I do not know them well but need to ‘mark my attendance’ whenever required.

When I was a kid, I used to have a best friend, some good friends and then the rest. This was a kind of trend with everyone at that time. I knew this small set of friends very well. I knew their choices of games, and their choices of toys.  I knew their parents also. Their brothers and sisters were my brothers and sisters as well.

The number of friends was less but all of them were special. They were like extended ‘me’.

Above listed friends are special in their own ways but the domain of friendship is limited. Each category a small extension of my personality.
Please do share if you also have similar kind of friend categories.

On vacation - In action somewhere else

Zoobie and me are on chutti for next 15 days.

I will not be active in blogosphere but will be actively doing trekking in Sangla Valley (in Himachal Pradesh)  for next 7 days. After coming from hills, action will be in my village in Punjab where I intend to eat, drink and sleep.

For next 15 days no Internet, no blogging, no emails and no phone calls. Yes, you read it right.  I will shut myself off completely for next 15 days.

Will catch up with all my blogger friends on June 28.

Travelling makes life tough

This post is not a business post.

For last three weeks, I have been inconsistent with my posts. I am not regularly updating my posts. From a daily post, my number of posts has dropped to two-three in a week. Worst part is I am not sticking to any schedule of updating posts. And I am reading very few blogs these days.

Reason – my office is shifted and time consumed in my traveling is close to FOUR HOURS. Earlier it was only half an hour. Since I am driving on my own, I cannot utilize my time on any value-add activity like reading etc.

Driving in city like Delhi is tedious task. Cycles, two-wheelers, cars, trucks, horse carts and pedestrians jostle for space on cramped two lane roads. Apart from physical tiredness, it exhausts you mentally also.

Below graph, explains my situation these days.

I am trying to get used to this new schedule and get my life back on track. I know it is tough but it needs to be worked out.
